OPPOSITES ATTACK

In Fall 2025, Nike unveiled the next chapter of its brand voice with “Why Do It?” a global platform designed to introduce Just Do It to a new generation. Centered on the bold choices athletes make to overcome obstacles, the campaign set out to reignite cultural relevance for Nike’s most iconic ethos and answer one core challenge: how to ensure “Just Do It” remains the rallying cry for young athletes.


Nike tasked us with breaking through during one of the world’s most watched sporting moments, the 2025 US Open. The strategy focused on winning where live sport happens, using real time storytelling across key moments and athletes to demonstrate the power of the platform.


The centerpiece of this effort was an iconic New York backdrop, the Domino Sugar Factory in Brooklyn. Across Championship weekend, we transformed its massive façade into Nike’s canvas, projecting dynamic, real time messages celebrating Nike athletes as they advanced through the tournament. The pinnacle moment arrived when Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner clinched yet another headline grabbing finals rematch.


To capture the intensity of tennis’s rising rivalry, we created a bespoke film projected across the factory’s exterior. Using archival and recent match footage, we stitched together a seamless, impossible rally pairing Alcaraz’s explosive creativity with Sinner’s clinical precision to symbolize their contrasting styles. The rally ended with the line “Opposites Attack,” encapsulating why this matchup represents the future of the sport.


The activation delivered meaningful impact for Nike, sparking organic social conversation throughout finals weekend. Publications like Front Office Sports and The Gist shared the projection in real time, while Nike’s own social channels amplified the takeover, generating more than ~15M views and driving sustained engagement around the Championship. By uniting bold creative, meticulous craft, and a launch strategy built to win in key sport moments, Nike turned the US Open into the first defining chapter of Why Do It?
